Call for Entries: Gallery at Blackwell
Entries for the spring exhibit at
the Gallery at Blackwell will be accepted on January 24-25, 4-6 PM (only), at
Blackwell Automotive, 71 Eastgate Loop, Eastgate Mall. This show will run
February through April 24.
The theme for this show is "Windows" but any subject matter will be accepted.
Windows might include something shot through a window, a photo of a scene
including windows, windows themselves, or any photo that includes windows.
Photos fitting the window theme will hang on the inside walls with all others on
the outside walls.
The following rules apply:
1. PSC members in good standing (dues paid) may submit any number of photos.
2. Non-members may submit 3 entries for a $25 fee (includes one-year membership
in PSC)
3. Subject matter must be suitable for family viewing.
4. Entries must be matted, framed, and wired in a professional manner. (Entries
with damaged frames or without proper hanging wire will not be accepted.) Wires
must be installed tightly so as to avoid slippage when hung on the wall.
5. Entries must be sale quality and works must be for sale.
6. Entries that have shown at the gallery previously are not eligible for
this show.
7. Title and price must be submitted with entries. Unframed price (excluding
frame and mat) is optional.
8. The PSC nor Blackwell Automotive is responsible for damaged art work.
9. Payment for works sold will be made at the close of the show.
The Gallery at Blackwell is operated by the PSC in conjunction with Blackwell

for the opening
reception at Blackwell Automotive. Blackwell's is located at 71 Eastgate Loop
at Eastgate Mall. "Near and Far" is on view through January 24 and
features the photographs of Scott Shoup and Dan Jeter in the main gallery.
Scott's photographs focus on scenes from the North
Chickamauga Creek while Dan's photographs are of
Italy. Photographs by Joy Caylor, Dave Grant, Art
Hansen, Deb Hebert, Viriginia Hughes, Bob Keebler, Milton McLain, Janis
Rowland, Jeannie Snyder, Ken and Vicki Stuart and Lucille Vann are also
included in this exhibit that continues through
January 24, 2006. Gallery at Blackwell is a
unique experience that combines art with automotive repair through an alliance
of Blackwell Automotive and the Photographic Society of Chattanooga. The
gallery is an exclusive member benefit showing only the work of PSC members.

CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR THE GALLERY
AT BLACKWELL

The next exhibit at the Gallery at
Blackwell will showcase the PSC 2006 Christmas
Annual Photo Competition. All those who entered the
competition are especially invited to show your images
in the main gallery at Blackwell's. In addition, all
PSC members are invited to display non-competition
images in the space surrounding the main gallery
during this show. The show will run February through
April 26, 2007. Photographs must be delivered to
Blackwell Automotive, 71 Eastgate Loop, Eastgate Mall
on Thursday, January 25 or Friday, January 26
between the hours of 4 and 6 PM.
The following rules apply:
1. All entries must be matted, framed, and wired in
a professional manner.
2. All entries must be sale quality.
3. Entries with damaged frames or without proper
hanging wire will not be accepted.
4. Entries that have shown at the gallery previously
will not be accepted unless it was an entry in the
Christmas competition. That is the only exception that
will be made.
5. Any number of entries may be submitted.
6. All works must be for sale.
7. Title and price must be submitted with entries.
Unframed price (excludes frame and mat) is optional.
8. Ribbons awarded in the competition will hang with
the photograph. Please bring them with your entries.
They will be returned at the end of the show (sooner
if work sells.)
9. If your work is sold, you have first right to replace
it with another piece. Replacement should be
made within 3 days of being notified of sale and
should be of a similar subject matter.
