PSC EXHIBIT OPPORTUNITIES

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Photographic Society of Chattanooga provides two year-round exhibit opportunities. The exhibits are at the Gallery at Blackwell in Eastgate Mall on Brainerd Road and the Jet Stream Grill in the art district on Frazier Avenue.

ABOUT THE GALLERY AT BLACKWELL:
The Gallery at Blackwell is a gallery space operated by the PSC and located in the customer service area of Blackwell Automotive. The gallery is a unique, longtime partnership between the PSC and the Blackwells, Richard and Richmond. Blackwell Automotive caters to owners of Lexus, Toyota, and other vehicles.

 ABOUT THE JET STREAM GRILL
The Jet Stream Grill is owned and operated by Neal and Linda Pascal. Its weather theme was inspired by Neal's other occupation as Meteorologist and TV personality. Thanks to the partnership with the Pascals that began in 2007 when the grill opened, the PSC is able to offer exhibit opportunities that are strategically positioned in one of Chattanooga's premier art districts. Graced by Linda's creative weather décor, the restaurant offers a variety of food and drink.

 ABOUT EXHIBITS:
Exhibits are open to any photographer. PSC members may exhibit at no charge. Non-members may exhibit for a fee of $25 per year. A 10% commission is taken on all sales to cover exhibit expenses.

Shows change on a quarterly basis. Photographs are accepted for both exhibits the last Thursday and Friday of February, May, August, and November and are delivered to the Gallery at Blackwell. Exhibits themes are announced in the PSC’s newsletter a month before entries are due. "Member's Choice" is the standing theme for the December-February show and is the only quarter where repeat showings are permitted. Original works that have never been exhibited at either location are featured March-November.

 PUBLICITY:
Exhibits are widely publicized in the PSC newsletter, local newspapers, local magazines, online art calendars, online newsletters, on the PSC website, and other publications.

 OPENING RECEPTIONS:
An opening reception at the Gallery at Blackwell takes place within 30 days of the installation of a new exhibit and the public is invited. There are no openings at the Jet Stream Grill currently.
